Kirin:To Buy Ginebra San Miguel Inc. Via Tender Offer

Heard from the grapevine that San Miguel Corp., the largest Philippine food and beverage company, has started talks for the sale of its liquor unit Ginebra San Miguel Inc. to San Miguel Brewery Inc., a beer venture with Japan’s Kirin Holdings Co. Ginebra’s sale will be completed this year. Rumors is the tender offer price is between 39 to 40.
