GSIS’ Meralco stake sold?

"According to our Biz Buzz sources, Pangilinan’s group has now bought out the GSIS’ 4-percent stake in Meralco at terms similar to those it had used to gain control of the Lopez family’s stake late last year. That means GSIS was bought out at P300 a share using an installment term that effectively gave the fund a “net present value” exit price of P260 a share, representing a 28-percent premium to yesterday’s Meralco closing price.
 
At this price, GSIS would have been bought out for a princely sum of around P11.7 billion—leaving other small shareholders complaining, “What about us?”" Read more...
